The requirement of "create an account" will deter some people from signing up to volunteer, especially if they are first time volunteers. It can feel like too much of a commitment.
Is there a way to allow a volunteer to sign up with their name & email or cell without requiring that they create an account, remember a password, and login each time?

David Thielen this is the same proposal we discussed today - I've given it a +1 here.

Dave - Thank you for that thoughtful response. We can wait on this and see what others think.

Melissa - to register they only need to provide their name, email, and phone. You are correct that it requires them to then also remember a password for the next time. But that saves them having to enter their name, email, and phone the next time.
In addition, we've got a good A.I. that determines what events to show them. That requires that we know who they are and their interests. If they remain an anonymous user, then we can't give them events they will find interesting.
I'm leaving this open for you, and others, to discuss. Because, while I see registering as a big advantage, that does not mean others will. So please, discuss.
thanks - dave
